Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1995 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora often stylized in uppercase as AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 it received a raving review from music blogs as well as from the press. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was made for an advertisement of John Lewis, and Nature Boy is an Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. The endorsement earned her some recognition. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding a piano in her attic and being fascinated by the sounds it would create. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music for a love rather than as a job. This led to her began to write the music she composed herself. Her influences include renowned authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her love for Bjork's style. Her mother was supportive of her performing her music in front of the public, but not to achieve fame, but rather to help others realize how important they are and the good they do to make a difference in the world. Her mother suggested that she perform her songs publicly to help people realize the importance of their work and how they could impact the world. Her family didn't have any idea about it until she was fourteen. Aurora had no idea of being famous. Her sole passion is to write music. The songs she creates are the way that she feels anything.
