Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is often credited for beginning the current science-based study of children's eyewitness memory and child victim witnesses within lawful circumstances. Professor Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also has been awarded many international and national prizes. She has worked with various governments and agencies throughout the globe on policy as well as research on children who are victims of the justice system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of a variety of professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman belongs to the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member and International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, as well as three Divisions: Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
