Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most well-known character is Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. The actress has also appeared as Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as a child in Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio and she continued her interest in the stage. She was a theatre student through Northwestern University and spent a period at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her professional career working in the Chicago area theatres for a couple of years. She then moved on to TV and film. In 1992 Anna landed her first big character in the role of Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest on several TV shows and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. Skyler played Martha Bullock as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad (2008). Also, she starred in the Deadwood film as well as Sully. Gunn also took to the stage to play in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn starred in a four-part podcast of audio plays called"Numbered Days.. The story of Breaking Bad is determined by the love story between Walter White, his wife Skyler and their uneasy relationship. The degrading of this relationship is akin to Walter White's last years.
